Who is to Blame for the 27 Animal Deaths on the set of The Hobbit?

We were enchanted with those books’ collection, The Hobbit. Before Elijah Wood became a Baggins for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, there was Bilbo of the The Shire village. because it was published way back in 1937!

Humanely, this is not about the book or the movie; maybe partly about the movie itself because this is all about the horses, goats, pigs and chickens (all 27 of them, as reported). According to Johnny Smythe, the owner/head wrangler of the 5-acre “New Zealand Universal Studios” that was used for the movie Lord of the Rings/The Hobbits, quits his job as the animal caretaker for the movie because of the so-called “Animal Massacre”. Animal massacre you ask? The plot of the movie is mainly about fantasy where supernatural, magic and nature exist. But the latter - that is The Nature, for those who don’t know what latter means – have been deprived of its continuous existence. Neglect of focused caring for the animals had caused those animals to offer their lives for the sake of becoming their work a blockbuster movie… NOT! As of this moment, as we relay this message to you, thousands of Animal Rights advocates were protesting against this atrocious film.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey – like any movies that don’t reveal its budget – is estimated to have a budget from $150M to $Gazillion for each one of the ‘The Hobbit’ trilogy. But the good news is that it will have its red-carpet premiere on November 28 in Wellington, New Zealand; where the animals died. Red carpet’s color definitely defines the color of those poor animals’ blood alright…

On the brighter side of limelight, many critical and paranoiac movie enthusiasts are asking, February 2011 is the date when those Wellington ranch wranglers did consciously and hatefully quit their jobs because of their knowledge of that animal cruelty or disregard; then why, oh doubtful why, did they just exposed those brutality on the media? Is it a publicity stunt? Or is it because they want to ruin the premier showing of that movie this coming November 28, and on the following month to be shown worldwide in your favorite movie theatres? (Don’t forget your Hobbit popcorn tumbler before you watch the The Hobbit movie; and also wear your The Shire T-shirt…)

What we want to know is, will the The Hobbit movie-goers donate money for those innocent farm animals; or do they just want to enjoy a movie that will make them happy?  

Lindsay Lohan’s judge will revoke her probation

After she almost dodged a bullet with her jewelry case theft, Lindsay seems to be into more trouble again for the nth time. As if all of her legal entanglements were not enough, she will now likely to face jail time. According to TMZ’s source, the Santa Monica cops, who responded to the crash site, when her Porsche crashed into an 18-wheeler truck at the Pacific Coast Highway, figured out that she was lying to them. This was when she told them that she wasn’t driving at that time. Lying to the cops is a serious crime. But this was refuted by her assistant, Gavin. During the time of the accident that he and Lindsay were in the hospital, the cops asked him if Lindsay was indeed driving her. He assumed that the cops already saw her seatbelt marks in her shoulder and that they already know she was the one driving. He gave a non-committal “okay”, when the cops confronted him. The cops passed his answer as an affirmative and according to him used this to file a misdemeanor case against her. Lindsay’s assistant insisted that he neither confirm nor deny it. While, the driver of the truck that her Porsche slammed with, collaborated with Lindsay’s assistant’s recount of the incident and said that he also saw Lindsay behind the wheel. According to the law enforcement sources, though, when she was questioned about it, she denied it. This was before her lawyer, Shawn Holley, could even make a dash to the hospital and save her ass of it again. She was a tad minute too late.   

After the Santa Monica City attorney decides to file the criminal case against her, it will be passed to Judge Jane Godfrey of the L.A. County Superior Court for another hearing, where she is currently serving her probation for jewelry case theft. And we all know that L.A. court is almost always true. It will be remembered that she became a suspect in the theft of worth $100,000 watches and sunglasses of her multimillionaire friend, Sam Magid.  Sources that are connected with the case told TMZ that when Lindsay’s case is arraigned, Judge Godfrey will revoke Linday’s probation and the matter will be set to a full hearing due to her probation violation in the jewelry case because of her supposed lying to the cops. Probation revocation would mean that her probation could be extended, or her fine could be higher and/or jail time again for the 26-year-old actress.

For those who are wondering, her former judge with the jewelry theft case will not be handling her case anymore. Her next criminal case will be handled by whoever judge will be assigned next. When will she ever learn?

Westbrook's 'Thanksgiving' the new Black's Friday?

When the viral video of Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ came out in the Youtube, as expected, many were hooked up with it. Not in a good way though but quite the opposite. Ever since, the video was released, it was the most disliked video in Youtube. It has accounted for 87% of the total ratings of the video. It has caught the attention of the public after comedian, Michael J. Nelson, with its many followers in Twitter, has called it ‘the worst video ever made’.

As if the masses can’t get enough of this kind of videos, another one is conceived and inspired from the latter. Child singer Nicole Westbrook would like to have the same media attention that Black amassed with her song ‘Friday’. What better way to enjoy Thanksgiving than to sing a song for the turkey day.    Patrice Wilson, the man responsible for “Friday” and an entire series of low-budget tween music videos wrote and produced the song, ‘It’s Thanksgiving’. Everything from its goofy lyrics, appearance of sappy extras and even Wilson himself is also present in the song.  Its number of views have rose up to 70,000 since its release on the early weeks of November. Will Nicole Westbrook’s ode for the turkey day beat Black’s Friday?  

What might be more irritating about these songs are it’s characteristics of having a too-simple lyrics and a catchy tune that messes up and gets repeated in your head over and over again. Although, Black’s Friday has raked some negative reviews there are a few positive ones also. Surprises of all surprises one of them came from Simon Cowell, famous for being an overly-critical AI judge, said that he praised Black for her brilliance for the publicity she got. The fact that it got the attention of the people with mixed emotions was a genius. He advised Black not to listen to critics over 18 years old and to continue doing it in her own way.

Maybe we could learn something from Simon, after all. Success is subjective. As long as you get to enjoy what you do and have a passion for it, you’ll reach to greater heights. Just like what happened to Justin Bieber, who has become the most sought-after tween star. Even if one of his hits, ‘Baby’, was also frowned up and ditched by many. We’ll never know it but Black and Westbrook might be the next big thing. They both have the same unwavering spirit that Bieber had when he was starting. Inspite of many criticisms hurled at him, he still continues to press on. ‘Never say never’ remember?

Jenny McCarthy Tried to Hump a Tree

How many times do we have to hear Hollywood stars getting addicted with some drugs of sorts (meth, cocaine, heroin, etc)? It's as common as the news of some controversial star getting hooked up with someone and then breaking up, the next minute you decide to change your clothes. But this one I heard from Jenny Mccarthy is one for the books. I mean literally. In her tell-tale-all book, "bad habits: confessions of a recovering catholic", she confessed that she almost made love to a tree. Yes you heard it the first time. This is during the time when she got too addicted to ecstacy. She and her friends were having fun at a local beach and she had one too many hits of the so-called "sex drug". There are some types of Ecstacy, depending on the color of choice, can make you feel the urge to have sex. And when you are too high on it, it will not matter if you will do it to a random guy or anything, including a tree. When she came to her senses, she realized that she was naked and was rubbing herself to a tree. She said that she felt good with the texture of the tree on her body. During their drug escapades, they didn't realize they had gone overboard with the drug and decided to get help on the road. Still conscious, Jenny realized that they were all naked and just convinced her friends to get back to the beach and get their clothes; this kind of confessions and more to be revealed in the book. She also confessed of her sex lesbian trysts, drug addiction and even her claim that God talked to her. She said during those addiction days, someone (thinking it was God) breathed down on her neck and uttered the words "Bimbo in Limbo".

Jenny McCarthy has been raised as a catholic but, ironically, became a Playboy model. She is an American actress and also an activist. Since 2005, she had been campaigning on vaccines for autism. Her inspiration for perseverance in this campaign is her son Evan who was diagnosed with the same disorder last 2005. Although, the scientific community has yet to come up with the vaccine, still she presses on with her crusade. For sure, her book will be a hit in bookstores. Someone who is in the same situation that she was before could learn something from it.  Indeed, you can get something good out of a bad experience.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's Alleged Romance

Shortly after his split last summer with his girlfriend of 14 years, Vannesa Paradis, 49-year-old actor, Johnny Depp is seen together with his "Rum Diary" 26-year-old co-star Amber Heard getting cozy and was too close for comfort at the AV Nightclub in L.A. last week. According to MSN, this was not the first time that Depp and Heard was spotted together in a flirty mood and couply-like state. This has been going on since July when US weekly has reported sightings of the couple. Amber, reportedly, has broken up with her girlfriend of four years, Tasya Van Ree, which seems to confirm her relationship with Depp. Ever since the rumor of them hooking-up has spread, they have laid low. Amber was also reportedly to have decided to just be single. Johnny isn’t the one to give up just like that especially to someone as beautiful and as intelligent as Amber. According to London Sun, Johnny is wooing the young star again. He started sending her some flowers and poems that he made to express his longing for her. He missed her badly over the summer. They both love literature so his style of winning her back will surely work for the young woman. But while Johnny and Amber romance is heating up, it was reported that Amber and Tanya has gotten back together and was spotted in the early fall. Though, it was reported Johnny and Amber recently flew to his island in the Bahamas to have a romantic break finally confirming the reports that they were back together as a couple.

To confirm this, several media outlets started calling their respective agencies. Nonetheless, they were unsuccessful in getting any feedback from them. Even Johnny's ex-girlfriend was not spared from this hullabaloo. Vanessa Paradis stated that she and her family had nothing to do with it and that she isn’t selling their personal lives. After all, she has two kids to protect. Johnny and Vanessa had two children during their relationship - Jack and Lily-Rose. She said that their personal lives are the family's business. It seems obvious that she is irked with it and bitter with her ex's current flame. Which makes sense because it is never easy to take care of your kids single-handedly. Let alone seeing the father of your kids snuggling with other woman. This seems to put Johnny in a bad light as a father to his kids. Though recently, he had his daughter's favorite band flown-in to their home and asked them to jam with him and with his daughter's classmates and friends.

Alice Cullen on UKGQ Magazine

Ashley Greene, aka Alice Cullen of the Twilight Saga, is changing from her vampire pale skin to posing her tan, curvy body on the December 2012 issue of GQ Magazine UK.

Miss Greene discussed on an interview with the magazine how she is having trouble dating in Hollywood. She wishes to go back to her home-town in Florida, and have a private date with her boyfriend there. Ashley is afraid going out in Hollywood with her friends because she knew that their every move will be posted on the Internet or the “ever-reliable” tabloids. She joked about how the tabloids printed-out that she is dating some guy; when in fact, that guy is gay. She just turns her frustrations to laughter about all those false news and edited photos.

Ashley Green dated the bassist of Kings of Leon, Jared Followill, and Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. Her recent boyfriend was the actor, Reeve Carney (who appeared on the most-sensational Broadway musical adaptation of Spiderman). With these famous actors/artists, Ashley is quite accustomed to the tabloid life.

We mostly remember Ashley as Alice Cullen (who doesn’t?). We even looked her pitch of that baseball scene on the middle of nowhere, where the Black Eyed Peas aka Victoria and Friends also showed up from nowhere.

Ashley Greene is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. At 17, she made her way to Hollywood to follow her dreams of being an actress. Charlie Sheen 'Anger Management' Job Safe

Charlie Sheen is doing a show on FX Channel called Anger Management. The television channel already bought out the reruns for the Anger Management show that is up to 90 episodes. New episodes are said to be aired on January 2013.

The media is thinking how in the heck could the Chuckster juggle his drug addictions and his new show at the same time? It’s just a matter of showing up at the studio (wasted from last night’s party), memorized all his scripts, then going back again to his party-till-dead after the show; and we are just waiting for the time when there’s news on the peak of this juggling act.

Smoking crack, snorting coke, “high” and high-end girls; is all in the everyday life of the ex-Two and a Half Men actor. Charlie Sheen is one of the best examples of Hollywood’s self-destruction. Burning $2,000 on drugs and a couple of hundred dollars on sex vanities, which is after taking a quarter ounce or more of cocaine and crack, is bound to watch hours of porn movies. After not being satisfied of his sexual fantasies watching porn, he calls out more of his rented girlfriends; and one of his girls is having a $25,000 a night bill. But that money-maker vagina just as insecure as the other is; so the girl asked Charlie to “rejuvenate” her money-maker. He fantastically obliged with a new car on top! Now, that’s what we call an expensive kind of loving!

Aside from the fact that Charlie Sheen’s invincible acts on the set and on parties, his new television show is having a very high ratings from critics and home viewers; and will also be showed on fall 2014 around the world including: Latin America, Scandinavia, Germany, Canada and Australia, for only $600,000 an episode! Martin Sheen, Charlie’s father, will be seen for almost 20 episodes of the said show. The television show’s producer promised that it will not be a full “father-and-son show”.

Charlie Sheen is famous for his Hot Shot movie series, a comedy movie that parodies movies like Rambo, 007 spy-movie-types, and a lot of serious war movies that Hot Shot gets a twist of. He is also one of the soldiers on the Vietnam War movie, Platoon, with Tom Berenger and Wilhem Defoe. His recent project was the comedy television show, Two and a Half Men.

Lindsay caught thieving again for the second time!

What do Winona Ryder, Shelley Morrison, Farrah Fawcett, Claude Allen, Olga Korbut, Britney Spears, Mccauley Culkin and Lindsay Lohan and the list goes on and on have in common? Your guess is right! All of them are filthy rich. All are celebrities. All of them have been in one way or another accused of shoplifting or stealing. No one knows if there were repeat offenders like Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay, for the second time, has been accused for stealing her wardrobe clothes worth $15K worth on the set of 'Scary Movie 5'. According to a source of the National Enquirer, this was the talk of the set in Atlanta. Some of the clothes that she took were nice tops and skirts and what have you. Some of them speculated that Lindsay might have thought that she was entitled to it like some nice perfume and lotion you can get for free in a hotel. The wardrobe staff was not too happy about it at all but the producers of the show just let it go. They just considered it as a part of the deal for doing business with Lindsay. They were just happy, to say the least, for Lindsay to have even made an appearance in the set. Sources said that Lindsay didn't like her role that she was cast on and the idea that she was just going to make fun of herself in the movie. She just appeared in the set after she was threatened with a legal action. Charlie Sheen was even concerned that she will not show up for the September shoot in Georgia. The source continues that Lindsay didn't like the idea of her making a bed scene with 'The Sheen'.

            Lindsay appeared in several hit movies like Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded. Some of the celebrities mentioned above like McCaulay Culkin and Britney Spears are like Lindsay Lohan, they all became child superstars and have starred in Disney movies. Is this childhood gone wrong? What has persuaded these celebrities to steal even if they have lots of money to buy new stuffs and in spite of their statuses? You know you can get busted right away especially if you are a celebrity and they always have their eyes on you, most specially the paparazzi. Some have reasons beyond disbelief. Reasons like having fun, some just want to be a rebel, just have a penchant for thieving and then some just went haywire because of their alcohol and drug addiction. Lindsay Hopefully, Lindsay will wake up soon and will straighten out her ways before she'll end up in such a 'waste'.

Mommy's Break

From now on, this would be my new home. ;) I've had my own blog (www.parentramble.com). It was nice having that blog but I didn't get to have so much freedom editing its html as much as I have here in blogger.com. Probably, they have their own reasons like they wanted to protect their websites from hackers etcetera. But now, I found my new home where I could belt out all of my thoughts, rants and musings on my own two toddlers. Yes, I have two toddlers. Definitely, I'm blessed for having both of them. (Are you sensing some sarcasm?) But you see taking care both of them is really a roller-coaster ride for both of us parents (all moms out there, I know you are feeling me on this). Luckily, I have a partner, who is also hands-on when taking care of our tots. He helps me out in settling them down whenever they have their own "shining drama" moments. Still, I think we need another one to help us out even if we're two on two still it's not enough.

So what to do? I created a blog which serves as an outlet for me whenever I've had "enough". Sometimes MOMMIES need a BREAK or at least need something or someone to break away and recharge and go back again to reality.

Are We Safe From Melamine Now?

BFAD have already released all the list of products that are safe from Melamine. You can check this site for the updated list. But there are some supermarkets, because of their greed, have the guts to still keep these products on their shelves. But if found, they could be sanctioned by the authorities. I remember the time when Fisher Price, a known manufacturer of toys, have recalled some of their products for possible lead contamination. Turned out some of their products were China-made. I was scared because my mother sent exactly the same toy which was one of those banned, which is a Dora doll. It was the favorite toy of my youngest because she likes Dora very much. For a time she had lost her appetite for food and became sick. Recently, our previous maid have re-arranged our cabinets and retrieved the already-hidden doll. I was mad at her for removing it from our cabinet. So I said to her to burn the doll. There was also a time when my husband was fond of buying candies wrapped in foils from China, on which I vehemently disagreed because I'm just not OK with it.

Since this Melamine Scare, I'm quite aware or should I say paranoid of the food that goes into my daughter's mouth. I think it's safe to say that fruits and veggies are enough to feed them. But heck even those have chemical fertilizers in them.

Pressures of Becoming a Parent

Being a parent is a huge task. You will never know it unless you become one. Right now, I'm really confused as to what kind of discipline should I give to my three-year-old kid. Is it too early to discipline her or is it just right to begin punishing her for her mistakes? Does she already know what's right from wrong? So many advices from relatives and friends. One even told me to consult a child psychologist. Ultimately, I think I will be the one to know, as a Mother, what techniques are best suited for my child. Because each child is unique. One system could work for a child but will not work for other children. I've found this www.parentingtoddlers.com/toddlerdiscipline.html once when I was looking for some answers, not again, in the internet.

I'm praising my mother now for raising me and my brother, gracefully. I think. Because it is a really a tall task. Now I know why my mother always say to me when she was in the middle of scolding us that when the time comes that we become a parent, we will understand how hard it is to raise a child. I thought to myself, I will get a maid to help me. I thought it was that easy. But it's not. Even if I did had one, it didn't make it anyway easier. Because the most IMPORTANT thing that I've learned from my mom is the BOND that we had as a mother and child. The CONNECTION that will never falter what happens. The LOVE that no experts or child psychologist could beat in child therapy. Because whenever you establish that connection to your child, it will be second-nature to you to understand her needs or wants, to know her whims or caprices and as a result to be able to give her the right discipline that will soon shape her as she matures. Having a maid or having someone in the middle to do that for you isn't really helping at all.

I'm still struggling at this point in parenting, understandably, because I'm a first-time mother. But I know that it's never too late to be in touch with my kids and to know them deeply. One of my friend who became a mother herself, congratulated me because she was amazed at how I was able to manage having a kid and having two for that matter, while my mother was away and was not there to guide me. That's why the Lord is so great because He knows what to do. He created mother's instincts. ;)

Preparation for Preschool

As I was doing my early morning routine, I was surprised to see my eldest daughter woke up early one day. I saw that she was holding her "pooh" backpack. I told her that she was too early to be up and about. I asked her where she was going with her backpack. To my amazement, she answered, "Skul!" And so I asked her what's the contents of her backpack. I found her Jollibee stuff toy, blow-horn, toy car and stickers. So I asked her if she was going to school where was her pen and paper. She replied with an innocent grin, "I know!" To translate it, it means she doesn't know.

My daughter, who is just 3 years old, is already excited in going to school. Some told me that I shouldn't enter her early into school because she might lose interest right away. But I couldn't resist everytime I see the delight in her eyes whenever she sees girls her age in uniforms and when she watches the video of her cousins interpreting a song through actions, which she mimics with full of enthusiasm. Mind you! She already knows her nursery rhymes by heart, not that perfect though but at least she knows how to sing and sway to the music. And that's what preschool is about - Playing and learning.

Earlier, I was contemplating on entering her into homeschool. This offer was our best option since my husband and I works and takes care of the kids at the same time. I know you must be confused. Me too. How in the world did we manage it? Only parents of the same situation as ours will understand. But now, since we already have someone to help us out in the household chores, I've decided to enter her into a regular school because I can see it in her personality that she likes mingling and relating to other kids, even older than she is. Homeschool wouldn't be appropriate for her. Although, the homeschool I'm referring to have some activities that would require her to socialize with other homeschoolers, still it was on a weekly basis and I'm not yet sure if the system will fit our daughter. Eventually, I will think about it especially if the tuition fee rises above our income bracket. But for now, I'm really excited for my kid's first step to preschool. Hopefully, I won't be having problems of leaving her in school. But the school requires first one week supervision by the parents. By the way, the preschool that I'd be enrolling her was the same preschool I went to when I was just her age. :)

Internet Marketing

Been awhile (by Staind playing in the background) since I've updated this blog. My golly! Thanks to my friend who have indirectly reminded me to resurrect my writing capabilities (if I have any). She gave me a link to a work at home seminar by blogging done by someone who have earned from it. He has also a Virtual Assistant seminar. I'll do this as soon as I have the resources ;). But I'm really more interested in his Internet Marketing seminar since I have so many 'rakets' (business) like Life Enzymes and internet (PrimeVPN) and Human Heart Nature that I wanted to market on the internet. But this costs more than the VA one so I must have, again, the resources. ;) (Sigh!) So little time, So much to do (by Arkarna).

Pranic Healing

Lately, I came across an interesting subject in a forum, which is Karma, Soulmates and Reincarnation. To make it short, I became interested in the discussion that eventually led me to visiting Anthony Vivero, the famous x-ray psychic; with the help of my forum buddies. He sees through a person's body and as if, like x-ray, he scans through it and could detect if you have some diseases and he touches it at the same time. He holds free healing during Wednesdays and Saturdays in his home at BF, Paranaque. He told me that I have thyroid problem that's why I don't get fat even if I ate so much (err, he didn't mention the latter). I have yet to have mine checked since I've learned thyroid test costs much.

My Top Hits This Valentines

Nope we're not gonna join the rest of the couples this Feb. 14. Funny, my cousin said that if you will go out on the 13th or 15th of February, you are actually considered as a mistress. Hehe. Anywho, the streets, malls, moviehouses and parks will be full, I bet. There would be a pandemonium. So I'm ok with the date 15. It's better to be called a mistress than be stressed out with too many people!

Anyway, this concert is actually just a repeat of their December 1 concert due to public demand. I saw one of their concerts uploaded on YouTube. Specially, when Juris, my hubby's fave singer, belt out Miley Cyrus' 7 Things. She's good. At the end, she was really exasperated and she said, "You see that's why we never sang those kind of songs." :) But she could actually make Avril a run for her money. This is for couples who are so focused and worried about their future and if they will end up together that they tend to forget "NOW" moments. I would like to dedicate this to a friend of mine. I will call her "Z". You know who you are. I think so. Hehe.

Btw, Bong and I were able to go to the concert but it sucks that my friend and cousin wasn't able to get tickets since it's already sold out. My rating for the concert was A-OK. There were high and low moments. But one of the most memorable was when Jinky, surprisingly, did a dance number of Beyonce's Single Ladies along with Sheree as backup dancers. Take note: in tang-ga outfit. :) It was a hit. I also liked mymp's rendition of their new song "NOW" and most especially when she hit the notes again with her popular songs tell me, a little bit and especially for you. I also liked her rendition of girlfriend of Avril and 7 things by Miley.

Top 5 Job Opportunities in London

                London has recently hosted the Olympics, as a saving recourse to boost its tourism by the year 2015. Thereby, hopefully, increasing income and generating more jobs for its people. With these, new and incoming workers are up on their toes finding information on what would be the topmost secure, if not the most recession-proof job in the capital of UK?
               According to the London Development Agency, there would be high demand for jobs for the next ten years or so, for the following positions: Top of the list are the senior officials and managerial positions - the likes of CEO, Company Director, Managing Director and General Managers, or those who know how to manage operations such as production, storage, construction and programs that a company services. Second are the professional positions like Surgeons, Doctors, Business Analysts, Financial Directors, Aircraft Pilots and Technicians, and IT officers. These first two categories are most likely to have the highest salary.
               With an ageing population like UK, there would also be an increase in demand for medical practitioners such as Hospital Consultants, Caregivers, Midwives and other personal service jobs, which comes in third in the list.
Jobs related to retail sales, comes in fourth, as the demand for goods will still be there. Last but not the least, Customer Representatives and similar entry-level positions in a number of industries comes in last on the top 5 list.
              There would, however, be a decline in Administrative and Secretarial jobs, Skilled Trades and Plant and Machine Operation jobs.
